Susanne Stone, PrincipalSusanne received her Bachelor’s Degree at Kutztown University and her Master’s Degree in social administration and public policy at Temple University. Susanne has over 25 years experience in social services and real estate development, formerly having served as the Director of Housing for Project HOME and the Director of Constituent Services for Councilwoman Happy Fernandez. Susanne specializes in service-enriched housing for seniors, the homeless, veterans and special needs populations and works with clients from concept to completion on all aspects of the development process. Joseph P. Sherick, PrincipalJoe has over 25 years of experience in real estate development. After working for a number of firms in the private and public sector of the industry, Joe formed Sherick Project Management, Inc. in 1992. Working mainly in the pre-development aspect of the business, Joe focuses on the Entitlement process (permitting), zoning, environmental issues, site development, budget development, and cost estimating. Joe also manages coordinating architecture, engineers, and scheduling. He has assembled a reputable team and has managed a multitude of successful projects. Jennifer Lewis, Senior Development Project ManagerJennifer Lewis joined Sherick in 2003. Her expertise includes project planning and financing as well as coordination of the development process. Jennifer's major responsibilities include managing the day to day operations of real estate development projects and writing development proposals for local, state, and federal sources including low income housing tax credits. Loan closings, preparation of development proformas, coordinating predevelopment activities, and gathering due diligence for lenders and investors are also within her realm of responsibilities. Jennifer has a master degree in urban planning and has worked in the community development field for 18 years. Jennifer relocated to Baltimore in early 2012 and resides in the Cedarcroft section of North Baltimore. Leigh Jones, Senior Development Project Manager Leigh Jones has more than a decade of real estate development and urban planning experience in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. At Stone Sherick, she works with nonprofit and for-profit clients on all facets of affordable housing development, from site acquisition and development entitlements to securing and closing on a wide range of financing sources, including low income housing tax credits. Prior to joining Stone Sherick in 2013, Leigh was with the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, where she worked on large scale redevelopment projects across Center City and University City. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is also a licensed New Jersey Professional Planner. Leigh received a Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College, where she studied Public Policy, and she has a Master of City & Regional Planning degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. LAUREN WILLIAMS, SENIOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER Bringing nearly a decade of real estate experience, Lauren joined Stone Sherick Consulting Group in 2021. Lauren has worked on both residential and commercial projects with a focus on project planning, due diligence, financial underwriting, construction administration, and community engagement. Lauren previously underwrote community development loans including LIHTC, NMTC, FHLB, CDBG/ HOME, and other funding sources. Lauren holds a BA in Economics and Public Administration from Saint Joseph's University as well as a Masters of Real Estate Development from Georgetown University. Lauren previously served in the Peace Corps, spending 27 months in rural Costa Rica supporting the local community with their development projects. Maria Duque-Buckley, Senior Project Manager Maria has over 15 years of experience in affordable housing and community development. Her specialties affordable housing finance, urban planning, and redevelopment. Maria has extensive experience in an array of housing financing programs, including LIHTC, historic tax credits, CDBG/HOME, and FHLB AHP, and she manages development projects from concept through to completion. Prior to working with Sherick, Maria worked for ten years at Ingerman where she managed several projects located throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland; in San Francisco with Seifel Consulting, a real estate and urban economics consulting firm; and for the City of Philadelphia as a Housing Analyst. Maria has a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College and a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Emily Perschetz, Project ManagerEmily Perschetz holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania. Emily joined Sherick Project Management in 2009 after three years as a senior project manager at a nonprofit real estate development company in New York City dedicated to building affordable and supportive housing and artists’ spaces on the west side of Manhattan. Previously, Emily worked for five years as a project manager at a land use planning consulting firm in Baltimore, which worked on various large- and small-scale residential and commercial projects throughout the city. Alexandra Moorhead, Development Project ManagerAlexandra joined the Stone Sherick team in 2013. She has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and has focused on proposal writing for funding applications, as well as coordination throughout the real estate development process. She has experience in a variety of funding applications including, City of Philadelphia Commerce and DHCD, PHFA LIHTC, PHFA PHARE, PA DCED funding programs and FHLB AHP applications. Angela Steele, Senior Development Project ManagerAngela works on all phases of housing development including financial underwriting, investor relations, consultant management, entitlements, construction administration and community engagement. Angela has experience with several community and economic development programs including NMTC, CDBG/HOME, LIHTC, FHLB AHP and HUD 202. Angela began her career as a Project Management Intern for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. Angela went on to work for BRIDGE Housing Corporation as Project Manager where she managed three occupied rehabs in the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion program in San Francisco. At NewCourtland Senior Services, Angela served as the Deputy Director of Project Management and managed LIHTC and NMTC projects in Philadelphia. Angela earned her BA in Cultural and Social Anthropology from Stanford University and her MBA from UC Berkeley-Haas School of Business where she completed the Interdisciplinary Certificate in Real Estate. Lauren Stebbins, Development Project ManagerLauren Stebbins has been a project manager with SSCG since August 2018. She works on coordinating the predevelopment stages of affordable housing and mixed-use projects and on fundraising including applications for Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Federal Home Loan Bank Affordable Housing Program funds and Department of Community and Economic Development funds. Prior to joining SSCG, Lauren was a Vice President at Opportunity Finance Network, the national trade association for community development financial institutions (CDFIs). Lauren has a master’s degree in public affairs from The University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and political science from Brown University. Talani Mathis, Construction Project ManagerTalani holds a Bachelor's degree from Temple University where she studied Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. She joined the Stone Sherick team in 2021 after leaving Philadelphia's Carpenters' Union where she worked as an apprentice carpenter on commercial construction sites. Talani has previous experience in the nonprofit sector as an advocate for housing and immigrant rights in the city and recently completed an Americorps year of service as a Construction Crew Leader for Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, building affordable housing in North Philadelphia. Currently, in addition to her duties as a Construction Project Manager for Stone Sherick, she is pursuing a Master's of Science from Drexel University in Construction Management with a focus on Sustainability and Green Construction.
